Robert Moses State Park Field 5
Robert Moses is officially open for the summer!
Robert Moses Field 5 is a small beach. Erosion has taken a lot of the beach away, however, it's still one of the nicest beaches in Robert Moses State Park. The boardwalk is close to the beach as well as the concession so it's a short walk to everywhere that you want to go. There are lifeguards in the swimming areas during the open season. There is also an area for Surf Fishing. If you feel like being adventurous, take a walk to the Fire Island Light House! It's a nice walk on a boardwalk through the dune area beside Robert Moses Field 5. The entrance is right off the parking area to the left. *** Note; This beach was closed for most of 2009 due to erosion.
